Established in 2013 on the island of Oahu, Small Hour Films began as a collaboration between the two of us, Marlene Nishime and Jonah Okano.  We are-- Best friends, partners in crime, and passionate filmmakers who love to tell stories that are important to us.  We met in 2009 in film school, worked together through years of stressful projects and sleepless nights, and somehow managed to get along through all of it. 

We produce wedding and lifestyle videos, branded content for local businesses, and narrative and documentary films. No matter what our outlet, we care tremendously about the work we do and about the people we collaborate with. Even beyond our company, there are so many other things that make us who we are. We are passionate animal lovers, movie binge-watchers, road-trippers, and above all, big dreamers.

KYLE

Enter Kyle Hayama, camera nerd and Drone pilot. Kyle attended film school with Jonah and Marlene and has been in the Small Hour Films family as its third wheel since its inception. Other than learning and creating cinematic, passionate, and inspiring content for clients, Kyle enjoys playing with his two black kitties, traveling to new places, and anything basketball.
